Award-Winning, Grammy Nominated singer, Joe Nichols

Joe Nichols continues to prove how hip and relevant country music can be.
With the aptly titled Old Things New, the award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer once again balances artistry with accessibility, applying his distinctive baritone to new songs that define country music for modern times. It’s the perfect follow-up to his acclaimed 2007 album, Real Things, which landed Nichols on a multitude of best-of-the-year lists, including those published by the New York Times, Miami Herald, Dallas Morning News, Associated Press, CMT.com and many others.

MASTER OF CEREMONIES: Mike Broomhead, FOX NEWS RADIO 550 KFYI
Mike Broomhead was raised by a mother who taught his family to love America and to respect those who serve this great nation. He and his siblings grew up admiring the men and women of our military. He is extremely proud to have a brother who is a sergeant with the Lee County Sheriff's Office in his home town Ft. Myers, Florida and a brother who served this great country so honorably in the Marine Corps and in the Army. Mike's brother, Tom, was killed in action on Memorial Day 2003 in Fallujah, Iraq. He received a letter from Tom that was mailed on the day he was killed. This letter would forever change his life's mission. In that letter he told Mike that "in spite of what Hollywood is saying this needs to be done." He also added in his letter to Mike that "we are giving these people a chance at freedom" and that he "supports this mission 100%."
Mike is now dedicated to educating our nation of the great lengths our soldiers go through everyday in order to give our Americans and less fortunate countries the very thing that makes our nation home to so many people; our freedom.
